This is a really gorgeous pendant from David Rosales that has Spiny Oyster Shell stones inlaid in sterling silver. Spiny Oyster Shell is very popular in our store and has become a common replacement for coral, which has become hard to find. It comes from Baja California and you will see it used quite often in Native American jewelry. This particular piece has the shell inlaid in a cobblestone style. This means that the stones are rounded and stick out from the silver slightly. Cobblestone simply gives a different look and feel to the jewelry and is actually more difficult than traditional inlay work. The stones in this pendant are really vivid and have a bit of contrast because some are pinker and others more orange. It's a lovely piece that is warm and bright!
